# Metrics as a Service Model with InfluxDB

The Metrics as a Service (MaaS) approach to centrally handling and sharing monitoring data across an organization is becoming the preferred choice for avoiding silos and vendor lock-ins. Better return on investment and freeing overhead to work on higher-value tasks are among other benefits of a centralized strategy.

MaaS demands the scalability, performance and functionalities of a purpose-built time series platform. InfluxData provides a purpose-built time series platform that offers all functionalities, features and attributes to implement the MaaS model.

Download this eBook and learn how engineering teams are adopting a centralized approach to monitoring with a MaaS model, extracting maximum value from data collected and stored.
